![]() Yes, it's a riding miracle! I have finally found my FAVORITE riding pant on the market. And I'm willing to bet it will be yours too! Yes, they're pricey - but for good reason! Read on! And maybe you'll find a discount code within the blog. I have literally invested in almost every riding pant on the market - even since before any were made specifically for women. Then when brands like Alpine Stars, and Dainese stared selling riding pants tailored for women, I bought them all because they must be better than what was out there, right? ![]() Well, I was sadly disappointed. They were still uncomfortable, didn't fit properly, but I kept wearing them hoping I'd "wear them in". With each uncomfortable wear, I hated them more and more. But that didn't stop my search. I moved onto women-specific brands like Stellar Motor Co. Then I moved onto pricier ones figuring the hefty tag would make them "better". I even invested in custom tailoring for a few pairs, and yet still I was uncomfortable and unsatisfied. Then I found the Shred Moto Jeans by ATWYLD and they are GAME CHANGERS. These beauties not only look rad, but they feel great and are protective - a win all around! The pant is made with 10.8oz of quality STRETCHY denim, so yes, these contour to whatever curves you have, or don't have. They provide excellent stretch recovery so don't bag out hour after hour, wear after wear. The large majority of the front is buttery soft 1.2mm cowhide leather with a UV coating so they stay a rich black color no matter how much you expose them to the sun. It also provides protection against wind yet the denim allows for air flow making these a multi-season pant. The next level of protection is the 5oz abrasion resistant DuPont Kevlar lining placed in slide zones. Think: hips, knees, and the rear. The fact this is only in select areas, adds to the overall softness and comfort of these pants. The last layer of protection, but potentially the most important, is the D30 CE Level 1 knee and hip armor. We cover protection ratings on our page "For the Ladies" but in short, this is the thinnest, most flexible armor on the market with molecular technology that makes it just as protective as the traditional "bulky" armor. These are held in pockets allowing them to be removeable (for those of you that resist armor). But the fact that they're so thin, will hopefully get even those resistant to armor, using it for a more comfortable, and safe ride. Lastly, these have a 10" rise that doesn't gap out in the back when you're sitting on your bike. And the 30" inseam is able to be hemmed if it's too long, and gives you some play depending on your selected footwear. I do recommend sizing-up from your fashion denim sizes. I normally wear a size 29 and I went with a 30 in these. If you have any questions about sizing, please email me at northforkmoto@yahoo.com. I am happy to help you get the proper size so you can be more comfortable and protected on your next ride.
