Let me reintroduce ourselves...

North Fork Moto is a moto-themed coffee roaster and lifestyle boutique.  In short, we offer our own coffee blends with the help of a coffee roasting co-op out of Brooklyn.  We also create our own fragrance blends used in our hand-poured, soy wax candles and signature fragrances which celebrate both the moto-life as well as life on the East End.  Our boutique also offers unique, handmade goods from around the world with a focus on the motorcycle lifestyle.  But it doesn't stop there...

Our brand grew out of our passion for motorcycles.  In 2020, we used to ride our motorcycles all over the East End visiting various coffeeshops.  We always brainstormed about someday opening our own café that, while catering to the motorcycle community, also brought together all types of people. Before meeting each other, we both spent years traveling.  The hope was that by creating our own coffee-focused, motorcycle-themed brand we could bring together a diverse community - as coffee seemed to be a common way for people to connect around the world.  We met Have A Nice Day roasters in Brooklyn, through the common interest in motorcycles, who encouraged us to have our own blends, and sell online.  Therefore North Fork Moto added an online shop to our website in 2020.  After doing various pop-ups around the East End in the Summer of 2022, Lumber + Salt invited us to open a coffeebar inside their beautiful and eclectic shop in October 2022.  We are currently open inside Lumber + Salt at 550 Sound Ave in Jamesport on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays  from 9am-3pm.  And our online store is ALWAYS open to make our merchandise available to all.

For the details:
As we began this retail endeavor, Clay focused on selecting the perfect coffee, with the help of our roaster, with beans from around the world.  Our Greenport Roast is a blend of beans from Brazil, Columbia and Nicaragua while our Jamesport Roast is a single origin, Mexican bean.  We wanted to be sure that our coffee, and specifically our lattes stood-out from other cafes.  Therefore Clay spent countless hours figuring out which beans to use for lattes while I worked on designing specialty flavors that spoke to the season, often creating homemade syrups for that extra special touch.

While Clay was busy perfecting our coffee, I focused on curating a complimentary collection of goods both for the rider, and non-rider that celebrated the luxury motorcycle spirit.  This included handmade leather bags that double as everyday lifestyle bags.  Think: backpacks, cross body bags, purses that can also be easily attached to motorcycles and serve as luxury panniers for motorcycle travel. We are also  honored to work with LA-based women's motorcycle brand ATWYLD to offer high-end, fashionable jumpsuits and apparel that has a moto/urban flair while being suitable for every type of woman regardless of whether she rides.

And as mentioned above, I create custom fragrances and hand-poured candles which are clean-burning, soy candles with fragrances that honor the East End as well as the motorcycle community - The North Forker, Sunsets Over the Sound, In The Shop, Cafe Racer, Track Days, Chrome and other seasonal fragrances.  I believe these candles add necessary atmosphere and elegance to our brand as well as at the coffeebar.

Let's not forget our riding culture - the reason we do what we do.  Through simply riding motorcycles, and meeting other moto-enthusiasts, we have a large support system for our brand full of the most wonderful, eclectic people on Long Island.  Our supporters ride all types of bikes, have varying experience, ride for different reasons, but the comradery and friendship hold us all together.  And because of our mutual respect for one another, we're able to enjoy a variety of events together - from Taco Tuesdays on a weekly basis at various locations throughout the Island, to once-a-year trips to The Tail of the Dragon. And of course, many adventures and gatherings in-between both near and far.  These people are more than friends, they're our motorcycle family who have been there for us every step of the way.

But our business doesn't stop there.  Another important aspect of our brand is our love for our dogs!  In 2021, I decided to purchase a Ural motorcycle (a motorcycle with a sidecar) so my furkids could join us on local, motorcycle adventures. Because our Great Dane, Dexter, and Rhodesian Ridgeback, Malachi, became such a recognized part of our brand, we knew we had to sell products that reflected our passion for our four-legged family members as well.  Therefore, we sell coffee mugs that pay homage to the love of dogs, we encourage dogs to come into the café with their owners for complimentary, homemade NOFO MOTO branded dogs treats, and we even sell handmade dog collars, and bandanas for our four-legged friends.  We always found it difficult to find luxury goods for our pups, and items that were big enough for my boys, so we began seeking them out to sell and offer to our community.  We even have a handmade spray we call "REFRESH Spray" which helps eliminate pet odors, as well as odors on fabrics like in motorcycle gear, inside cars, homes etc.  So that is one of our best-selling products that grew out of love of motos and dogs!

Because of this passion for dogs, especially the bigger ones, we often do fundraisers and donate money to Great Dane rescues in need.  We find this to be an underserved population of dogs in need.  Because of their size, and cost to maintain a healthy dog, many Danes end up in shelters and it's difficult for them to find homes due to their size, and most people opting to save dogs that don't require so much space, food, etc.  During the holidays, we were part of a Secret Santa event where we became a Secret Santa for some dogs in the Upper Midwest Great Dane Rescue.  We collected items that were needed by the specific dogs, along with extra goodies, as well as made a donation to the rescue.

We believe ALL of these aspects lead to a well-rounded coffee experience that's more than just "grab and go", but rather a "welcome to our community" - our North Fork Moto community.
