![]() One of the main reasons for staring this blog/website was to create a sense of community, and bring together people with similar interests. I know there are endless motorcycle blogs/online shops/website etc with similar goals (and KILL IT!). But I thought maybe adding a little something from this corner of the world (North Fork of Long Island) would be valuable. So my most recent Instagram post asking for feedback on women’s protective pants, did just that – I received feedback from a variety of people. It’s awesome to get encouragement from other moto enthusiasts I’ve yet to meet who can provide helpful advice. ![]() I learned of other brands, various fits of pants, “met” online vendors (thanks, Jennifer at Wind and Throttle) and even some supportive men chimed in helping to enrich our motorcycle community and bring us all together. From these comments/posts/etc, social media allows us to learn from one another, help people no matter the location, and connects us as a global community of riders. What could be better? Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on protective pants. I think it’s going to be the ATWYLD Voyagers (thanks Steph Lamond). And hopefully the Instagram post can help other followers who see the post and are interested in protective pants. There’s more out there for females than one would think. When I started riding 20+ years ago – it was men’s gear or no gear. Thanks to all who have helped bring women’s style and fit to the moto world! *Note: the pictures above were taken during a LIMotoBabes event at Toast Coffeehouse in Patchogue June 2019.
